Izzy: If you ask them point blank they will tell you that the PCA does believe in original sin, no matter what you choose to call it. Otherwise they are not PCA. That is why the PCA baptizes infants, among other
reasons. That is why anyone baptizes infants to save them from going
to hell because of original sin.
jt: Every infant has the opportunity to go to hell if
they don't embrace the
faith of their parents. God will honor covenant
but it is still their choice.
I don't like to make rules for God. I think that the children of the righteous are sanctified; according to scripture the offspring of
the wicked are not
so blessed but we can rest in hope knowing that God is
completely holy,
righteous, and just and that He has done everything
possible for us.
Izzy: I did not ask you to make rules for God. jt: Not saying or even implying that you did
Izzy.
Izzy: I asked what you believe God's rules are.
jt: I believe there is just one way to be accepted and
that is for everyone.
Either you believe we are born sinful simply because we have human
flesh before we ever actually sin, or you do not. Which do you
believe?
jt: Sounds like you have it all figured out Izzy. Yes
I believe humankind are
born with the taint of sin, we all deserve hell - There
has been just one person
since the fall who was born
holy and walked free - You know who that is.
As for babies. That decision belongs with God. I
am not going to
pronounce them either lost or saved; it's Jesus'
call.
I would appreciate a straight answer. If you don't know
which one you believe please say so. Yes or No: Are you a sinner the moment you are born, worthy of hell? Please answer. (Surely you don't think that depends upon who your parents are?) Thanks, izzy I don't know.
