I'm a little overwhelmed by this licensing flame war.
First off, I'd like to say I think WebMacro is great and I'd like to thank Justin for
creating it. Plus it is well-documented and easy to learn. I would very much like to
use it and promote it's continued improvement.
The licensing issue would become a concern if it put a burden on my clients. My
understanding is that a GPL licensing would require them to release the source to
their entire system if it used WebMacro as a component, which is clearly unacceptable.
I get the impression that Justin acknowledges this and has attempted to find a
solution. The SPL seems to fit the bill, but I'm not a lawyer and can't give a
professional opinion. I just need to know whether or not I can use WebMacro.
