So ask any lawyer instead. Whether the author of a software package can
release under multiple licenses or not is a simple question of law, not
really something you specifically need to hear from the FSF.
You would likely get useful feedback from [EMAIL PROTECTED]
as well.
Justin has been absolutely truthful, but I don't want to get into a war
with you either because you just love slinging mud and that's not good
for anybody. You have the worst online personality I've ever encountered
and I think you've single handedly done far more damage to the ASF and
the projects you're involved with than you realize.
I can't count the number of newbie's you've insulted off your own
mailing lists.

It was pretty rational, but you probably won't see that through your
license-religion blindness..

Why even bother trying to unify my FSF and ASF users under one license?
Gee, I don't know Jon. Hmm. Maybe because dual licensing sucks?
Right now WebMacro is accessible to more people than Velocity because
GPL users are *unable* to use Velocity. Your license is restricting your
user base, so don't tell me that it's a good license, since you've but
yourselff off from being useful to companies like Red Hat, organizations
like Debian, etc.

Do you actually believe yourself? Or do you just make this stuff up for fun?
I mean, you should get a job with the ministry of some communist country
or something. You're really bizarre.
What Jon is referring to is that the other day he submitted some comments
to the WebMacro wiki promoting Velocity. I edited the comments for brevity
and then added my own views to them. Anyone familiar with a Wiki knows
waht this is about. Jon responded to that by *deleting* my views. I put
them back, he deleted them again, and after awhile I got fed up and
marked the page as moderated so he couldn't keep on deleting my views.
And you're calling ME the censor? Please.
I'm sure you have some yarn to spin here, so get out your ball of
wool and start spinning. Maybe you'll manage to pull it over someones
eyes, but I doubt you can pull it over everyones eyes.

Do you have any clear expression for that development philosophy difference?
Currently WebMacro is following an Apache development model with a whole
lot of developers. I am not even the major player anymore. I don't get
you, Jon, you just spin these lies out and expect people to believe you.

I have no problem with the apache development process or with the BSD
license (though I think there are better licenses). I have a problem with
some of the attitudes that seem to have infected the ASF. I'm not sure
those attitudes are in any way related to the license or the development
process. I am in fact following an Apache process for WM's development.

The ant integration is still there. It just happens not to work for me on
several platforms. When you check WebMacro out you can check out either the
ant version, or a version which builds using gmake. They're both intact,
so again you're lying about it being removed.
You really do need to get a job with a propaganda ministry somewhere,
you're certainly qualified.
Justin
