That is why I said that some software projects need to focus on
technology given their situation, some others need to focus on
documentation/website/infrastructure/marketing/etc given their
situation.
Vista/Microsoft falls into the first category, tg falls into the
second, I think.
In other words: there needs to be a balance between technology and
documentation/website/infrastructure/marketing. Both Microsoft and tg
are out of balance, in my opinion. But the directions in which they
are deviating from the optimum, are the opposite. Vista has
technological problems but no marketing problem, tg has no technology
problem, but does have a huge marketing problem.
I honestly think that improving the appearance of tg (again, this
means website, development infrastructure, documentation, etc) will
attract more developers who in turn will improve the technology as
well.
