Mark, I've tried to keep this whole thing as constructive as I could. I never intended it to turn into what it has become :/ I understand what you're saying, but this is exactly why I asked in the very first post: "I implore you to not spend so much time on adding new features to 2.1 and focus on getting these core problems taken care of first and foremost. Please please please make 2.1 all about polish." I was never asking anyone to do any more than they already were, simply to redirect those existing energies towards these things that some of us are concerned have taken a back seat in priorities. We love this project, and we want to see it go far. If people can not handle these sorts of posts, being publicly discussed...then there's only going to be even more and more upset developers as the user base grows. The way you guys react to these sort of things is going to be the most telling thing over the course of time. Responding openly, and positively to the mass of non-contributing users is probably the number one reason Ubuntu has risen to the top of the distro heap over the past few years, it's not because of their code or features...it's because of how they interact with their users. On the flip side, this is why projects like Gentoo have been dying a slow death in the same period of time. I understand, you have a hard job running the show and keeping everyone happy and I yet again can not tell you how much I appreciate what you do here, but good code alone does not make for a good project. This will probably be my last response on the topic as I don't want it to spiral down any further than it already has :/ --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TurboGears Trunk" group.
