My considered opinion is that dad's sitch is not going to significantly change for months or even years.
I say this even though the times where even supposedly-swallowable food has made for (let's just say) an adventure are becoming more frequent... Maybe...*maybe*...his weight will still be low enough that my brothers will follow up on previous promises to take him back to hospital. The cooling-off periods his insurance requires were satisfied at least last month, so it's not like they'll get stuck. Still, he's told me he'd rather go to jail than to a nursing/rehab... and told my aunt and cousin on his side a few weeks ago "I need a psychiatrist." B -- -- TV or Not TV ....
