On my Linkstation slimserver is running well. Not fast but OK. But I get dropouts using the webinterface at the same time und trying to syncronise the two boxes I own. For playing music, flac or mp3, its a good choice. The menue is a little bit slow on browsing your archive.
The reason why I will change to a "real" linux box is, you can't use it as an slimserver and samba share. For that its to slow and you get dropouts. These days I start building my "new" slimverver on a VIA Epia board. With Linux I have all the powersaving stuff and spindown ...
