I uninstalled EAC and reinstalled it on my Ubuntu laptop using the Wine installer. It runs, but it's VERY slow. I was able to rip the same CD on my XP server in 10 minutes, and on Ubuntu, it still has not completed after 25-- for a single track! This laptop is a dual-boot and EAC never had this issue running in Vista.
Rubyripper uses CDParanoia, so I was prepared to like it. I installed RubbyRipper and upon ripping the test CD, it's log showed "encoding errors" for a track I just successfully ripped using EAC on my XP server. Oh well. As it stands right now, I will have to remote into my XP server and run EAC there in order to rip with any sense of reliability. -- mark-e-mark ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mark-e-mark's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4726 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57534 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
