Personally I have always used 'abcde' ("a better cd encoder") which is
just a shell script that calls cdparanoia and whatever encoder you tell
it to use.
The EAC-under-wine confuses me: just too many places for odd windows
things to get in the way. (At least it doesn't create files with ~1 in
the names... but it still seems weird when there are a ton of native
rippers or at least wrappers for cdparanoia/libparanoia on linux.)
