I picked up a used Dell desktop on ebay for 30 quid. It has a SATA
interface 1GB RAM and P4 chip. I just happened to have a 1TB drive
going begging which I popped into it and bingo :-)
Try looking around the vortex box documentation and forums. I think you
may be able to get your USB drives working http://vortexbox.org/
