Since I have now got something to work on my laptop, why on earth would
I want to try another version? From my perspective that truly would be
masochism. Staying with something that works seems rational. Making
more change does not.

Chances are my modem, wireless dongle and other issues on my laptop
would be just as much of a problem on some other version. I am
certainly not in the mood to experiment with n different versions.
