Don't blame the software blame the users. Images created on 3DS with RS users would end up exactly the same but darker and blurred on 3DS.
I blame RS for being to difficult and complex. In my opinion they should spend time simplifying the workflow, not adding features. As for me, I am mac and RS 7 is not on mac. Realsoft 1 will always be the reference for a simple and efficient design.
