jaaron, I don't know anything about Struts but a little about Turbine.
Turbine 2.3 in cvs has support for avalon components. It is close to release ( a week or so, as I understand) and I believe that it is hoped that someone will have the time to change the container from ECM to Fortress either before or shortly after the release. The next development cycle is, I believe, going to focus on converting as many of the existing services to avalon components as possible and a redesign of the core that should make it more component friendly.
