This is known behaviour (at least I have known this behaviour for
several years now). Fields added to the table definition do not
automatically appear in the form (which seems pretty logical to me,
since one can not assume that all fields in the table should be visible
in the form), but you can add them by going into form design mode after
opening the form. From there, you can select the new field to add from
the list of fields available when clicking on the appropriate icon in
the form design toolbar (I forget its precise whereabouts now) and then
using drag/drop to drop the field onto your form.
