This is exactly where i'm coming from. Even if the OOo team covers 100% of all national and ethnic languages, there are still gobs of dictionaries for scientific/academic/whatever use that apparently aren't being converted for use by OOo 3.0. Many of them have been created and released 'into the wild' as freeware .dic files, but the creator can't or won't take the time to publish them in the new format. I guess the take home message from this is that if you need to use a certain dictionary [chemistry, for example] to write your paper, then you need to find another word processor.
