Tom,
Can you spell "stuck exhaust valve" ?? Did you have any vacuum at all
on the cylinder that wouldn't sync ?? Anyhow .. sounds like you have
been running rich for so long on this cylinder that you are blocking a
valve seat with carbon deposits. The carb sync routine simply
equalizes throttle plate openings and requires a leak free connection
from the base of the carburetor to the intake port of it's respective
cylinder. Then of course ... the cylinder needs to create a vacuum to
be measured. So either you have a big leak on the exhaust valve, (a
stuck intake valve would still create vacuum), manifold/carb boot ..
or the throttle plate will not close via the adjustment screw. This is
not a good thing ..... ;>0
