Sorry, ref .. "can you spell" ... as something like this is not a
joking matter. As Stain suggested .. you might have a leaking rubber
seal at the base of the carburetor, (this would qualify as a "leak"
mentioned earlier), ... and as Paul suggested ... do a compression
check, (possibly followed up by a "leak down" test), as these tests
will help you evaluate the condition of cylinder #2. These types of
tests should not challenge for your "mechanical" friend and will help
you determine what is really wrong before doing anything crazy. What
is "OK" on your sync gauge ?? Is this 1 inch difference ?? 5 inches ??
Or is this even applicable, (depending on what you are using to
measure vaccum) ?? If everything is OK ... ie .. plug color,
performance, etc ... then there probably isn't anything wrong at all
and you could tell us how you are making your vacuum measurements.
