I'm afraid there is no check valve since anybody working with braking
systems must have at some time or other "pushed" the pistons back to allow
you to fit new pads, and at the same time you really have to be careful so
as not to allow to the brake fluid overflow on the reservoir as it is pushed
up or....
Shims and washers are used to keep the pads from squealing
