Dracer,
Following is an old post from Patrick Ahearn .... I am sure he won't
mind that I am re-posting it. The old link to his drawing does not
work anymore so I put a copy of Patrick's sketch that goes with this
at ... http://sites.netscape.net/tcamp30/vswitch.jpg ...

I just connected my on-off-on micro toggle switch. Works like a charm.
The switch basically reverses polarity to the motor which opens and
closes the v-boost.here is what you do;
1. Get a micro switch that is on-off-on with the spring loaded toggle
that returns to off, in the center, after you push to on at either
side. The toggle switch has to have six connections on the back. This
is necessary to be able to reverse the polarity of the current. The
motor turns one way with the negative and positive hooked up and the
opposite when these leads are reversed. The switch does this for you.
2. Wire the switch as follows; Attach by soldering a wire to each
center connector , (M+)and (M-). They should be about 18" long. these
wires are destined for the v-boost motor.
3. Solder a 3" wire on (1+) and one on (2-).
4. Solder an 20" wire on (3-) and one on (4+)
(1+) (M+) (3-)
(2-) (M-) (4+)
5. I put my switch on the little top flat spot next to the front of
the scoop. There is a plastic cover that covers the throttle cables
and clutch line, thats where it went. You can put it anywhere, just
make sure your wires are long enough.
6. Connect by splicing and soldering the 3" (1+) and the 18"(4+). Do
the same to 3"(2-) and 18" (3-). Solder the splice about 2" away from
the connector on the 18" wire. Notice this is a cross connector
connection that gives you reverse polarity.Use shrink tubing or
electrical wire to cover splice
7. Strip about half an inch off the end of the 18" wire leads (4+) and
(3-). Connect one to a positive source and the other to ground. You
may want to put a fuse on the positive side.
8. Take the two 20" (m+) and (m-) and strip the ends about half an
inch. Twist them and fold them in half. Find the female motor
connector with the six holes in it. With the single different hole at
the top install the two wire ends, one goes in the 2 o'clock position
the other in the 4 o'clock position. Just insert the striped ends that
you folded in half. These can be reversed if you want the toggle to
work in a different direction for open and close on the v-boost.
Now you can close the v-boost for cold starts, as soon as it is warm
open the v-boost. You can use a regular size toggle if you can't find
a micro. Good luck. By the way the switch cost $5.95
