I know it has been mentioned before, but if you furl your own leaders, you will only need a single size of thread or mono (I use 6/0 Uni) and whatever tippet you wish to attach. I have used nothing but furled for the past 1.5 years and would not go back to the conventional leader..they turn over well, can be made any configuration you desire simply by changing how you wrap your beginning leader board.
