There is nothing wrong with thinking outside the box!!!
I have friends that make their own jigs with molds. I don't go
that far. I would use the Czech nymphs. They look like a lot of
fun. The only thing that would keep me from using a heavier jig on my
rod is my casting ability. I don't use a lot of clousers yet. I
tie them for friends but I know I would probably break my rod if I used them
myself.
If I listened to all the negative comments I got when I started tying
I wouldn't be where I am today in my tying. I still get some
funny comments from my flies. If anything they just pushed me to tie
even better and have more fun with them. I know they're getting
noticed.
