Garry - When I get a wind knot in my leader, I cut it out and reattach the two pieces with a double uniknot. Then I hit it with a drop of super glue. The leader is just about as strong as it was before the wind knot (@ 90%), and there is less chance of the leader popping apart as it can with a wind knot.
