Good point Mary, if the streaming is smooth then WiFi probably isn't your problem. How long have you had the ATV? If it is still under warranty I would definitely consider calling Apple support to see what they say. Maybe a replacement might be in order in your case as it might be an issue with the device itself. Seriously, VO has never been choppy on any of my ATVs.
