Good point Mary, if the streaming is smooth then WiFi probably isn't your
problem.  How long have you had the ATV?  If it is still under warranty I
would definitely consider calling Apple support to see what they say.  Maybe
a replacement might be in order in your case as it might be an issue with
the device itself.  Seriously, VO has never been choppy on any of my ATVs.

It is a 2nd gen apple tv. If I use the apple tv remote, what would the wifi
connection have to do with anything? With so many people not having the
problem, it is clearly something here. There is no problem with the
streaming audio, hence my question why the wifi connection would be a
possible suspect.
