Mary,

I have not reset one via the unit itself, but there should be a reset option in 
the menus. THe software reblast is a lot more fun since you have to find the 
appropriate cable and try a reset via the Apple TV itself first before 
graduating to the next level. If you do then I'll dig up the instructions which 
I filed away for loading the software via the USB cable. It is not to bad, but 
there is a set of steps you have to follow.
