I don’t think it’s your phone, or your screen protector. I have noticed this same thing since upgraded to iOS 12, however it is very unpredictable. I can’t reproduce reliably. It happens most often in the mail app. And the solution for me has been to take the app out of the app switcher and then restart it. I know this started with iOS 12. But since it’s so hard to reliably reproduce, I’m not sure what to tell Apple. I can go for days and not have a problem. Then I might have it twice within the space of a single day. Mary
