Hello All, Now I think I may know what everyone is talking about. Occasionally I have noticed I think while flicking that the phone acts like it is not on a control, there is no voice output and what I hear is a sound as though I am stuck in the rotor. Is that the kind of stuff that is happening to others? I thought it was operator error of some sort. Also, I seem to have a slightly dead spot on the lower left side of my iPhone 8 screen. In that corner sometimes when I triple tap it is interpreted as a double tap. I do not have a screen protector on.
Thanks for any feedback! Debby -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of M. I'm not certain if I would describe it as the screen being unresponsive, so much as I would say that VoiceOver simply drops out. For example, when this happens, one can still scroll from screen-to-screen but without any audio feedback. So, for a totally blind person, this would seem as though the screen / device was unresponsive. I have resolved the problem by (1) simply pressing the Home button; (2) unplugging and then reinserting my Earpods into the Lightening port, when this occurs while they are in use; or (3) simply opening another app. Mark From: 'Kramlinger, Keith G., M.D.' via VIPhone [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, October 16, 2018 12:09 PM To: [email protected] Subject: iPhone 7 screen intermittently seems to go unresponsive Hi, My iPhone 7 is nearing the end of its Apple Care coverage, so I’m asking opinions on this matter. For several weeks now, my screen becomes unresponsive at times, not responding to gestures such as double taps, etc. I can generally get it working again by turning off and then back on again Voiceover. Is this something I should get checked out by Apple, or just one of the ways iPhones sometimes act? Thanks in advance for any advice.
