I do not think so. An incubator is just a constant temperature box with fans to ensure a uniformly mixed air temperature. It is easier to ensure a constant temperature with a box than with the whole room. There are also fans blowing air out of holes in the walls. The whole thing is thermostated, as I recall. (Some of them are, anyway.) - Jed
