Transmutation occurs in conventional high energy physics. Assuming the Proton 21 claims are correct, perhaps they are a form of high energy physics. Along the same lines, fracto-fusion and Taleyarkhan's bubble fusion are plasma fusion, not cold fusion. You cannot draw any conclusions about the nature of cold fusion from these phenomena. They are plasma fusion on a microscopic scale, nothing like cold fusion. - Jed
