I have been married for 10 years and I average about 60 days of fishing per
year. It has been a little easier for me because I have fly fished all my
life and my wife knew it was part of the package when she married me.

Another thing that has helped is that as the years have gone by, we have
developed our own interests that we do by ourselves. I go fly fishing, she
likes to stamp, sew etc. I buy a new rod, she buys a new sewing machine etc.
When you are first married you often feel like you HAVE to do everything
together. After awhile this will decrease, especially if you can hook the
Mrs. up with a social group of some kind. When she has her get togethers,
you go fishing.

Good luck.
