Confession:
I hate to admit it but I can relate to being outfished by women partners-
both my fiance and my mother don't know a mayfly from a woolley bugger,
but when my dad or I pick one for them they more often than not outfish
us! I think it is a patience thing- if I don't have some success fairly
soon I move on to another hole or change bugs- they prefer to pound away
at the same spot endlessly ("One more cast...") and seem to eventually
pull one out. There is a lesson there about thoroughly fishing a hole
and having confidence in your fly selection, but knowing it and doing it
or two vastly different things for me....
