Jim, There's another one over there, newly discovered, that has good sized browns in it.
Somehow I had the idea you lived over in eastern WA. Beats me how I came up with that. I just joined the Boeing shotgun range that's out by you. Also, it looks like you're more into "prospecting" than I am. I used to do that 20 years ago. I like to have a fair idea how I'll do before I even go to a place. We have one lake up in BC (one of the few that will go unnamed) that was real hot the first fall I fished it. Went up there last spring expecting it to do the same. Fishing was so-so and if I didn't know what it's real potential was, wouldn't even consider going back there. There's another lake nearby, a little shallower, that has a creek that drains down from the one we fished to it. The locals said the lake didn't have any fish as it winterkilled out all the time. Game department said they didn't stock it because of winterkill. Well, I couldn't make two trips to that lake last year and had to pass on the fall trip. My fishing partners picked up on my questions about the other lake and went to fish it one day. Said it was loaded with fish. Guess the locals don't know everything. When we fished the "secret lake" we'd pass by this other one and it would always be the same, nobody down there fishing.
