Yes. As a search engine registration strategy or trick, this approach can
prove useful for some search engines. However, I would only create such
pages for the sole purpose of registering them as additional entry pages
into the site, never for real pages of the site itself. When making such
pages, I would recommend including as text links all of the links that
appear on the site's actual home page so that they are fully functioning
for navigation when a user actually lands on them. Of course the same thing
could be accomplished more simply without using any graphics at all.
