It will render their site almost inaccessible to people with various
handicaps.
It will foolishly waste bandwidth and storage space.
It will be unusable with text-only browsers (still *very* popular).
Similarly, it will be unusable by people who have GUI browsers but have
image loading turned off because so many sites have so many junk
images embedded in them.
This customer of yours isn't the pointed-haired managed from "Dilbert", is it?
