I have looked into Lotus Notes and Domino and personally think it is a
very viable solution. The downside is a steep learning curve and
expense involved.
We have two groups working on browser-database initiatives: 1) Access-M$
SQL server and M$ IIServer solution 2) Apple (NeXTSTEP) WebObjects to
SQL database with an Apache Web server.
Solution #1 has consumed a lot of $$$$ and manhours with very little to
show. Solution #2 has shown a lot of promise with very little expense.
