Thanks for your comments. Re the above: I had minimum memory set at 6000
and preferred at 8000. I've now upped it to 10000 and 12000, I'll see what
that does.

Okay. I have 128Mb RAM on this system. But it's not an 'earlier system',
it's brand new and running OS8.1.

Regardless, I've now set the Disk Cache at 4096 (it was 1024), Virtual
Memory is set at 124M (it shows "Available Built-in Memory: 123M). Is that
correct or should I set VM to 129M?
