When you select the icon fo NS Communicator, using the GET INFO from the
FILE Menu, what does it have as allocated memory? I have upped my
allocation to about double the recommended.

NS 4.05 read my 120k bookmark file with no problems.

When you deleted did you also remove the Netscape folder from the
Preferences??

On some of the earlier systems, virtual memory was a problem as it
would allocate double the amount of installed RAM. You needed to
manually set virtual memory and cache memory through the Memory Control
Panel. VM should be 1 meg more than installed RAM and cache should be
32k per meg of RAM.

MS IE 3 for Mac was also a fairly good product. The main drawback was
it would not handle forms pages. Hence, Netscape won the starting spot
as I could download it without having to go through a forms based
registration process that IE 3 couldn't handle.
