Huh... well, I imagine you could have chosen a more auspicuous way of 
breaking your lurker's silence.

This list is not merely a repository for bare-bones technical tips, it is also 
an online community.  Many of us old-timers on WC maintain friendships 
with one another that extend beyond the confines of the list.  We know 
about each other's families, colleagues, hobbies and habits; and some of 
that sociable chit-chat spills over into the list itself at times.  Which is 
perfectly fine with most of us, especially those of us who regularly 
contribute our skills and knowledge here.

We are collectively and individually more than just so many kEwL HTML 
Tipz; we are people balancing varied personal lives with the demands of 
often-stressful careers, and some occasional insight to how others meet 
those challenges is welcome, as far as most of us are concerned.
