Have you tried a chiropractor yet?

I suffered recurrent and sometimes disabling back pain for years after
tearing some muscles back in the early 80s. Conventional doctors could
offer me little apart from painkillers and anti-spasmodics, which helped
somewhat but also doped me to my agonized eyeballs.

My back went out again about three months ago, and finally I thought
"What the hell, give this chiropractic stuff a try -- can't hurt". (Or, well,
perhaps it *could* hurt, but anyway.)

Well, long story short, it helped immensely. A couple of initial sessions of
crunching and twisting me poor ol' spine back into what apprently is its
more healthful place eased the pain greatly, and subsequent maintenance
visits seem to be keeping things copacetic.

I realize that mainstream medicine taints chiropractic with a certain
inference of quackery (well, some doctors do anyway), but it did help in
my case.
