Try the Ebay Auction site (http://www.Ebay.com/). They always
have people selling 4MB sims at resonable price.

As for what system you should convert into the Linux Box, Faster
is always better.
As I have said before, I prefer FreeBSD over linux for a few
reasons. One of the reasons is that, it has a better partition
program. It will split the drive into a minimum # of partitions
for you (sized so you can install the system). Linux doesn't
have this feature.
Also, FreeBSD is more command line based in it's tools. Linux is
more GUI based (like MS is).
What ever you choose, choose what is best for you.
