The easiest way to solve this problem is not to do it. Majordomo
is vastly superior to Lyris, and even has a GUI front end (majorcool)
for the point-and-drool crowd.
If you must make a switch just for the heck of it, then consider
the GNU MailMan project, which appears to have gone into the territory
outlined for majordomo 2. Early reports on it are pretty impressive
in terms of its standards compliance, performance, ease-of-use and
integration with other tools.
