I've no problem with Linux at all. I've yet to install it on my "spare" 486
but it should be soon. I had no say in the decission about which OS to use
when we moved from the Unix box. Though I dare say that may change over
time.

Yes, I have been using them since "the beginning" and am writing on one
now. I've got 3 on my BAN (Bedroom Area Network).

Our Uni just advertised for a Web programmer in the publishing section.
While they had to have experience on NT and Unix the main focus was on the
Mac with FileMaker-Pro/Westar/Lasso development skills. I don't know why
they chose the Mac but I suppose as they use them elsewhere for materials
development (web/CD/print) they would stick with the platforms that they
are familiar with. (that is not to say I think it was a bad choice!)
