| I agree. It reminds me of a bad philosophy class, like the one I had my
| freshman year in college. "We'll have no grades, no assignments, you
decide
| what you will do, how you'll do it, and what you'll be graded."

Hrm. So that is two "Sounds odd" votes... I did wonder why they weren't
more thorough... didn't know if they were going thru the motions or not...
but it did last 45 minutes, and I would have guessed that they would have
thrown me out after the first 15 minutes if they weren't serious... I hope.
;} ... and the fact that it went from "Human Resources" to "Hey! We wanna
interview you!" in just a half of a business day shocked me.

And, if this turns out to be a really oddball and eccentic company (they
have orange and purple cubicles they showed me in the grand tour, that even
the prez/ founder sits in!!!!), well, I'd like it even more.

But, if I do get the job, methinks that I owe both George and Javilk at
least 20 billable consultant hours, between helping me out on list, and
off-list with my inane questions and conundrums. ;}

| For a community education director job, I devised a community and
business
| questionaiire, learned everything there was to know about comm ed that I
could
| find on the web, wrote a sample 5-year strategic plan, etc. In the end
it was
| too intimidating for them (so I was told by the school board president),
but
| it was fun to see my work get implemented. I keep reading in their
| newsletter how they've done one thing after another that I suggested,
right
| down to the nitty gritty details.

But Linda... didja get paid for them implimenting your carefully laid out
plans? ;}
