If your CGI requires text to be entered before it will reveal an
e-mail address, the spambot will not be able to see anything. It is only
when you provide multiple e-mail addresses via pull-down menus that have
the actual addresses in them, that the spambot can get them. Use the
names in the pull-down or pop-up menu, and have the CGI provide the e-mail
via a generated screen. If nothing or the default is selected, then have
the e-mail screen stick a few hundred fake e-mail addresses to
non-existent domains in the comments. This kind of "chaff" to foul the
spammers is becoming more common as a counter-measure.
