Suz is right. I also clearly specify in my web site contracts with clients
that I do not guarantee placement in any search engine or web directory or
whatever the hell Yahoo wants to call itself these days. I just submit my
client's URL following the SE's directions and that's all I can do (beside
properly coding my pages, etc.).
Yahoo has it's problems, that's for sure. Just be upfront with your web
clients about what you can and cannot do. And warn them about any "Search
Engine Consultants" who make exaggerated claims about guaranteeing high
listings in any engine.
The SE's have predictably moved towards a "pay for priority" policy and
this will only continue.
