Here's a good one for you.

The story is real, the names were changed to protect the guilty bastards
... ;-)

Fred and Ralph were competitors. Then one day Fred bought Ralph out, and
Ralph went to work for Fred in some sort of senior management capacity.

Fred is, and was at the time, a client of mine, with a website that we host
called www.fred.com. After he bought Ralph out, he had me change the title
of his web page from "Fred's Corp" to "Fred's Corp and Ralph's Corp", had
me register the ralph.com domain with Fred as owner of the domain, and had
me point www.fred.com and www.ralph.com to Fred's page. So far so good.

Well, here recently, it seems that Fred and Ralph must have had a falling
out or something (I'm not sure of the details and don't particularly want
to know), because Fred sold Ralph his company back and they went their
separate ways. Shortly thereafter, Ralph signed up with us to host their
new website, and asked me to point www.ralph.com to their new website. I
said I couldn't do that, because Fred still owns the ralph.com domain and
he (Ralph) would have to take it up with Fred. I did agree to disconnect
www.ralph.com from Fred's site and leave it unconnected while Fred and
Ralph duked it out. That was likely my big mistake.

Next thing I know Fred is on the phone, upset because www.ralph.com doesn't
point to their (Fred's) website anymore (virtually no one ever accesses
Fred's site via www.ralph.com anyway ... they all go in via www.fred.com
... but that's evidently beside the point).

By now you've guessed my dilemma ... if I connect www.ralph.com back up to
Fred, Ralph will get mad, and if I don't, Fred will get mad.

I would like to keep them both as clients.

What would you do?
