I stand corrected :) You're on the money, Eric

Admin contact it would be - and I agree that the technical should be the
hosting service, since if there need to be changes as far as DNS, etc, they
can do that.  

In any case - the company who's page it is SHOULD be admin. To do less is
to do a disservice to your clients, and to hold them hostage. 

If you can't keep them via good service, perhaps they're justified in
moving their domains. 

There are also other reasons people want to move domains - move them
inhouse, put them on servers that offer more for less $, put it on their
cousin's server..etc...it's called freedom of choice and competition :) The
way you keep them is to work with them through these issues - NOT by
putting up a fence around their domain name. 

I would not go with a host that forced me to let them be the contacts.
Ever. You might get the naive and inexperienced to do so, but if they ever
get more than a modicum of knowledge, they'll feel shafted (rightly).
