I agree with Lisa. I have always had my client own their domain name - this
only seems logical - with me as the admin contact and the billing contact.

I recently went a step further and now make them the billing contact as
well as have them get billed directly by the web hosting service instead of
me being billed and the client paying me. Less paperwork for me. Sure I
used to mark up the web hosting costs, but it's just not worth it. Clients
don't understand that handling the hosting billing and other misc. issues
is work: not a lot, but some, and with dozens of web clients it's not work
I need. Now I let them deal with the host and interNIC after I set
everything up and get things rolling.
