We found that too -- we were trying to find out if anyone else had
produced anything like TurboPress (our print-to-Web atuomation
system for taking print publications and putting them up and
managing them online; http://TurboPress.com).
I hunted all round Vignette's site trying to handle on what it does,
but am still not really any the wiser. The main thing that stuck in
the brain was a comment along the lines of that the basic system
starts at $45,000.... They must be telling some people though,
given their clients, pricing and general recognition:-)
I don't think I'd necessarily call them a rarely implemented platform,
as they seem to have done pretty well in their niche. At least, their
name is one which regularly comes up when we try and find out
about this sort of application. If anyone else knows of something
comparable in terms of publication management, I would be keen
to hear of it.

Yeah. We figure it will be our low-end clients who actually need the
fanciest management and support stuff as they're the ones which
won't have the specialists (or budget) to help.
