I happen to agree. I've seen some of our clients burnt by people who literally
held their domains hostage. They had offered to register the domains for free or
close to free, but when it came to hosting anything serious, they tried to charge
outrageous amounts and when that failed they just wouldn't release the name.
Brian, if you think this is "glueing" the client to you, good luck. Once they've
decided to leave, they're walking. And it's only going to be more painful to you
if you set up obstacles that you didn't tell them about in the beginning.
