Well, Sandy, as I said, the animation feature is my weakest area of IR. Dave
was just headed out for a bike ride and said he thought you just just click
on any frame within the animation window and edit it there. Here are a few
tidbits from the book:
--Use the Layers palette to make changes to individual frames, groups of
frames, or the entire animation.
--You can create and edit an animation in the Original or Optimized image
window. Note, however that the paintbrush too and pencil tool are available
only while in Original image window.
I'm just guessing, but I'd think there's a good chance that if you opened a
preexisting gif animation, then did a Save Original As, that you might end
up with a layers .psd file that you could then open and edit in Photoshop.
As I said, just a guess.... The book says, "you can edit and adjust an
existing animation as you do a new one. You can create new frames, add new
layers, or edit existing layers in frames, and arrange and delete frames."
